Dates:
Monday, May 25 through Thursday, May 28, 2020
Venue:
International Conference Center Hiroshima, Japan
Organized by:
Research Manager and Administrator Network Japan (RMAN-J)
Partnered with:
Society of Research Administrators (SRA) International
Under the auspices of:
Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology – Japan (MEXT)
Theme:

“Promoting Diversity in Research and Research Management Collaborations: More Trans-national, More Trans-disciplinary, More Trans-sectoral”

RMAN-J has set the above theme for INORMS 2020 based on its following understanding. Academic collaboration in this interconnected world involves increasing interaction among academics from different countries and disciplines. Further, stakeholders outside of academia should join these discussions for better research management and administration. It is only through weaving diverse trans-national, trans-disciplinary, and trans-sectoral threads into a diverse tapestry that we can succeed in facing the complex global challenges of today.

RMAN-J is Japan’s only nation-wide professional association for those engaged in research management and administration. It aims to promote science, technology, and future innovation from Japan through the enhancement of research capabilities of Japanese universities and research institutes. Since its inception in 2015, RMAN-J has provided networking, dialogue, and training opportunities for research managers and administrators in Japan.

INORMS 2020 will be held in Hiroshima, an ideal location for a congress seeking to promote diversity. Pursuing peace since its tragic history with atomic bombing, the city is committed to mutual understanding and collaborations beyond borders. Hiroshima has a proud track record of hosting major international conferences. The Hiroshima City Government, as well as the Hiroshima Convention & Visitors Bureau, support RMAN-J’s efforts to host INORMS 2020.

RMAN-J is honored to host this important opportunity for networking and sharing practices internationally and looks forward to welcoming research managers and administrators from around the globe in May 2020!
